Greencity Vital Wheat Gluten, also known as seitan powder, is great as an aid for baking bread and also used to make mock meats, burgers and steaks. Now available in a 3kg bulk bag great for caterers or seitan lovers.

Nutritional Information per 100g: Energy 1615kj/386kCal, Protein 75.00g, Carbohydrates 9.00g of which sugars 4.00g, Fat 6.00g of which saturates 1.00g, Fibre 2.00g, Sodium 0.250g, Salt 0.625g.

BREAD TIP: To help bread to rise and improve texture and elasticity add 1 tablespoon per cup of flour in recipes.

MOCK MEAT TIP: To make 'gluten steaks' a meat alternative often referred to as seitan, mix the gluten flour (1 cup) with cold water (3/4 cup), knead well then cut the dough into slices and boil in your favourite broth for approx. one hour.
