Grown by CECANOR co-operative, a group of 800 women producers in northwest Peru.Empowered women create stronger communities. Caf-- Femenino requires participating co-ops to give their women farmers control of revenue and land ownership. Proceeds are invested in community projects including schools, libraries, health and nutritional education, and initiatives to build self-esteem, human rights awareness and literacy. Full washed and sun-dried Bourbon, Catimor, Colombia, and Typica beans create a balanced, rounded and versatile coffee with a good, full-bodied mouthfeel. Flavours of dark chocolate and cocoa and a crisp lemon and lime finish. This product is accredited with Ethical Consumers Best Buy label based on their research into the environmental and ethical record of both the product and company supplying it.
