Spécialité Locale Dutch Apple Cake 450g


This cake is naturally low in fat, and contains an abundance of real fruit, with apple flavour and cinnamon to give it a unique taste and a lovely moist texture. This cake can be enjoyed on its own but is really nice with the addition of vegan cream or custard. Whilst this cake is wheat free it is not gluten free as it is made with rye flour which, whilst very low in gluten when compared to normal wheat flour, is above the levelsmended by the coeliacs society.

Ingredients: rye flour (gluten), glucose-fructose syrup, fruit 14% (sulphites) (apple 9%, glucose-fructose syrup, raisins 4.5%, acidity regulator: citric acid), sugar, sunflower oil, cinnamon 1%, raising agents: sodium hydrogen carbonate and sodium acid pyrophosphate, spices, salt, natural apple & cinnamon flavouring, rice flour.

Typical Nutritional Values per 100g: Energy 1321kj/312kcal, Fat 2.5g of which saturates 0.5g, Carbohydrates 68.3g of which sugars 42.3g, Fibres 3.5g, Protein 2.4g. Salt 0.58g.
