Sosmix Scotch-ish Pie Recipe

Why not try these sosmix scotch-ish pies. The recipe makes the perfect scotch-ish pie. If you'd like to get creative you can add anything you like for a little something extra - stock, onions, herbs, vegetables and more.

 

 

Recipe

Ingredients

  • 200g sosmix
  • 200ml cold water
  • Seasoning to your taste - salt, pepper or whatever you fancy!
  • 1 box of Shortcrust pastry
  • Soy milk to glaze

Method

  • Preheat oven to gas mark 6 (200c)
  • Place 200g of sosmix in a bowl and mix with 200 ml of cold water - let this sit for 15 to 20 minutes
  • Cut your pastry into quarters (depending on how big your pie tins are) and place over the pie tin. With the remaining pasty cut circles, this is for the top of your pie. 
  • Place the sosmix into the pie tins and place the circle pastry on top (like a lid!). If you'd like to add any extra shapes, like our hearts, you can add this to the top of the pie now. 
  • Spread some soy milk over the top of the pies, like a glaze. 
  • Cook in the oven for 30 to 35 minutes until golden brown.
