Oats are a type of grain, rolled oats are made by steaming and rolling whole oats to make them quicker and easier to cook. Oats are used to make porridge, muesli, flapjacks and a variety of biscuits and cakes they can also be stirred in crumble toppings to add extra texture and flavour.
