Better Foodie’s Vegan H*ney is the world’s first vegan honey alternative with the taste and nutritional profile of its traditional bee-made counterpart, thanks to their innovative recipe that avoids syrups or concentrates.

This honey alternative is fantastically versatile – being easily drizzled at warmer temps, but also satisfyingly scooped at colder ones, as it sets just like traditional honey, too!

Mix with your favourite herbs and use as a marinade for roasted veggies (it works especially well for deliciously sticky-sweet parsnips and carrots), create a vegan take on the infamous hot honey pizza, or drizzle over floured and fried aubergines for the iconic tapas dish of Berenjenas con Miel. Of course, it also works wonderfully well drizzled over tarts, cakes, and bakes, or even just stirred into a cup of Earl Grey tea.

Tasty but tough to access

This would be a five star review if it wasn't for the shape of the jar. It shouldn't be necessary to have hands the size and strength of Hercules' to be able to open it. Nor to have to whack the lid on brickwork to release the seal so it can be unscrewed.

Once you do actually get to the 'honey' though, it really is delicious. So like I remember bees' honey to be.
