Grown by selected co-operatives including ASOPEP in the foothills of the Colombian Andes. Planadas is a devoted Colombian coffee community with proud family traditions. Poor infrastructure and historical conflict made trade difficult for many years, but recent investment alongside the ASOPEP co-operative and Fairtrade has helped with the building of a quality lab to benefit the region as a whole. Washed Castillo, Caturra, and Colombia beans grown at high altitude give us sweet, clean dark chocolate notes, rich red fruit flavours and red apple acidity. This product is accredited with Ethical Consumers Best Buy label based on their research into the environmental and ethical record of both the product and company supplying it.
