I was a bit surprised by how soft they are, more like soft cheese in fact. But the flavour was fantastic; really savoury and tangy and without the hint of feet that most supermarket vegan cheese has! Great spread on a cracker with onion chutney. Wasn't so keen on the chilli option though.
It's the perfect easy quick meal with protein and makes fabulous burgers, sausages etc. and I used to use it years ago from Direct Foods, however, I do and did worry a bit about the solid white fat that remains in the frying pan (is it healthy?)
First time since going vegan I have had one thing I sooo missed .. avocado on toast with a poached egg on top and lots of salt and pepper!!! Fabulous alternative to the "real thing". Now need to try the fried egg version ...
This is simply the best vegan butter I have ever used. It’s made with all natural ingredients, and no nasty additives. It can be frozen very successfully and used for cooking and baking too. The taste is superb - especially lovely on hot buttered toast!
